In 2003, M2S VOIP founder Alex Aristides decided to move on from his position as a PBX Installation Coordinator with a local integrator. Being versed in multiple voice/data cable infrastructure, IT, PBX, voicemail, and contact center knowledge, he started on the entrepreneurial path. Coincidently, the newly married Alex received news that same week he was expecting the first of his two sons. He was ready to take on his new role as a business owner, father, and husband — and with just a few tools and a credit card, the hustle to build a business had begun.
The corporation started off strong as a solo act then shortly after became a subsidiary company of two major contracting firms. After numerous ups and downs through the competitive cabling and telecom industry, branching into physical security, taking an offer to roll his entire client roster into the hands of a larger integrator, and accepting a Vice President of Operations position for a short period of time, it had to come to an end. Alex wasn’t satisfied with the outcome of these efforts and lack of advancement within the technology industry. After facing a fork in his path in 2009, the turning point Alex had been waiting for arrived in early 2010. He had decided to start all over again — leaving his position of VP of Operations, opening a business in the fitness industry, newly divorced with two young boys, living in a one-bedroom apartment, completely broke, and eating Ramen noodles.
With a credit card, a laptop, and a vision, Alex began the entrepreneurial journey all over again. Learning from his past mistakes, he knew this time would be different. There would be no partners, no parent companies, no bosses, and future thinking only. Retaining Alex’s prestigious Avaya dealership and original client base, M2S VOIP was reborn. A few years later, M2S wasn’t just the same old local PBX integrator but finally started to build its national presence and soon become an iLEC Voice Over IP telephone service provider. Today M2S VOIP is a national service provider for hosted Voice Over IP within the United States and Canada. The company now runs its own carrier-grade, geo-redundant SIP cloud PBX supporting unified communications, trunking, contact center, and mobility, along with a wide offering of features, integrations, and other services. With an extensive client list, agent programs, and white-label reseller platform, while being one of the few providers who perform on-site installations and custom integrations, M2S VOIP has set itself apart from the cookie-cutter platform that most providers push nowadays.
